Frequency Domain celebrates 10 years of existence with a very special EP from musician and sound artist Amanda Butterworth, aka Mücha. 'Skin / You Make Me Go Under', Amanda's third release on the label, features two tracks forged through different studio approaches. 'Skin' unfolds organically as a rhythmic whole, immersing listeners in a smudgy, Seefeel-esque soundworld. In contrast, 'You Make Me Go Under' presents an exercise in minimalism, anchoring Amanda’s powerful vocals with sea-deep pulses of bass. On the B-side, remixes from fellow Frequency Domain artists Surgeon and Datassette deliver striking transformations of the originals, with the digital release also featuring a haunting bonus mix courtesy of Spatial.
The EP's cover art is by Argentine painter Marco Ortolan. Marco's first-ever record sleeve design, the artwork conjures a dreamlike composition that perfectly mirrors the music’s mood and atmosphere.
